Station 9 | Acrylic Painting

$250.00

I was invited to participate in “Ways of the Cross,” a Lenten reflection on the Stations of the Cross at Salina’s Christ Cathedral. My contribution is a mixed media painting inspired by the 9th Station of the Cross: Jesus Falls for the Third Time.

When I began my research for this project, I discovered there’s no corresponding scripture for the anecdote. Out of the fourteen traditional Stations of the Cross, only eight have a clear scriptural foundation.
