After PROJECT was hung at the Gallery at Kansas Wesleyan, I knew there were important work and clients that didn’t make the cut, just because of the limited space. Three of those clients are shown below, along with a few of their projects.
AD ASTRA BOOKS & COFFEE HOUSE POSTERS
Over the past 13 years, I’ve created a lot of promotional work for Ad Astra, the best coffee house and meeting place in Salina. A few of the posters promoting Ad Astra’s live events are shown here.
SWEET ON YOU GOURMET CHOCOLATES BRANDING
The owner of Sweet on You, Anne Crough, had been a friend for many years. Anne was a chocolate conneisseur, and thought long and hard about the ups and downs of opening a gourmet shop in downtown Salina. When she finally decided to do it, she asked for my help in branding. She was a real stickler for quality, both in the products she sold and in her branding. The images below show just a few of the projects we did together. Sadly, Anne passed away a few years ago. But Sweet on You Gourmet Chocolates lingers in many people’s memories.
SMOKY HILL MUSEUM BRANDING
I worked with the Smoky Hill Museum during the 1990s and early 2000s, and had a hand in many of their branding, promotion, and fundraising projects. Their logo, featuring illustrations I did of the Carl C. Mose sculptures, Land and Communication, which flank the front entrance of the Museum, remains one of my favorites. It’s shown below in the original color scheme (the Museum has revised it since my design), along with one other project we worked on together. Check back to see more projects (I’m having trouble with old files!).
