A long-time client I’ve worked asked about designing inspirational coins for the athletes. I’d not created art for metal coins before, so it was a learning process. We went through many iterations, and I'm happy to report that the coins have now been designed, manufactured, and delivered. As a prelude to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, they were given to athletes competing at the US Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis.

The project was commissioned by Caritas Foundation International, a Christian charity registered in Assaria, Kansas. One area of focus for the organization is supporting the work of chaplains among elite athletes. The client described the purpose of the coins as being something tangible "to remind the athletes of God's promises to them during this very exciting, but so stressful, summer."
